Sorry its been a while between updates i know i was doing really good there for a bit haha!
So I left off in Texas..
Austin was super cool! Although i will admit I had a bit to much to drink that day and had a bit of trouble keeping a beat we all had a blast and the crowd was great as always. Our front of the venue was the Adult Swim festival and that was sooo cool! I’m not sure how many of you follow my Twitter but i posted a picture of a guy with the most killer mustache i’ve ever seen from that day. it was epic!!! All in all Austin = KILLER
El Paso. This show we were all a bit sketched out about at first because of the current situation down there. If any of you don’t know about it you should read up… its a bit scary, drug cartels, heads getting chopped off etc… Needless to say we didn’t know what to expect. We got to the venue and to our surprise it was quite bigger than expected. The people there we super cool and treated us better than any venue on the run yet so we all were really happy right away! All the bands got set up and then proceeded to play the hurry up and wait game (my personal favorite NOT). Jeremy and I went across the street to grab some dinner and when we got back, to our surprise, there was over 800 people at the show! This was a MONDAY night in El Paso! We had no idea so many people would show up for the tour! We took the stage and the place went ballistic! Mosh pits, kids flying all over crowd surfing, singing the songs it was awesome! Definitely the best show of the tour at that point! When we finished we went to walk off stage (VGS was headlining that night) and the crowed chanted so loud that we had to go back up for 1 more song hahah we couldn’t believe it! Never before in the history of this band have we ever been asked to do an encore with out being the headliner of the evening but hey since it was co-headline tour VGS was totally supportive and we went back on! El Paso….. KILLER! Can’t wait to go back!
Albuquerque New Mexico. The Launchpad…
This is a venue we are never disappointed in. We’ve been playing The Launchpad for years now and the kids are always great and the venue is always a blast! Joe treats us super well there and we’ll be going back as long as he is open! The show was about 20 people from being sold out and the kids were nuts the whole night it was awesome! I would like to point out that for dinner we all (us and voodoo) went to eat at a place called The Black Bird. They hook up the bands playing at The Launchpad. Just about everyone had this sandwich/burger called ……. Check this out, It was a big as burger with grilled cheese sandwiches for buns!!! i was in heaven hahaha! I forgot to grab a photo cause i was to anxious to eat it hahaha. We all left that place happy campers and I highly recommend it!
Ok so the next update is Phoenix but I’m gonna do a separate post for that. I just wanted to catch everyone up for now… We are currently headed up to Santa Cruz to play 2 nights with The Expendables… This will get messy…. haha

I just wanted to post this photo cause i thought it to be quite interesting… A “what’s wrong with this picture” type of thing. On a side note though i was truly blown away by the ability of my phone to take such a nice photo! Oh and I would like to point out that I did not enhance this photo in any way…

HAHAHH i just passed a tow truck in Texas and that’s the name of the company on the side! hahaha just made me laugh, sorry haahhaa!
OK so to the business at hand which is keeping everyone updated on my travels. Last night was Dallas Texas. We played a venue called The Loft which was pretty cool. Small club, very well put together, with a big balcony that you could hang out on.
Earlier in the day we loaded in and proceeded to walk to get BBQ with the VGS guys. They told us “oh ya its just down the street on the other side of that big building right there” so we said “cool ya lets do this”. Well that not so long walk turned out to be 2.5 miles hahaha! Not that I’m lazy at all but i messed up my leg snowboarding about a month ago and walking 2.5 miles really wasn’t helping it much ahah! Oh well thought I will say that once we go there the BBQ was well worth it! I can’t remember the name of the place right off hand but its right next to the Angry Dog, I highly recommend it… super good.
When we were done eating I called Jason and Zach to come pick us all up (they didn’t go to eat with us) they showed up thinking it was me and Jeremy and there was 11 of us hahahaha! We all piled in the van and headed back to the venue, fat, full and happy.
The show was really good. The crowed was awesome and I felt that we played quite well. Nothing to crazy happened on stage last night so I don’t have much to report there but that’s OK I’m sure something will happen soon…. it always does.
After the show we headed to a Motel 6 we found for super cheap and to our surprise the whole place had been refurbished! Now honestly we stay at allot of Motel 6′s cause they are cheap and pretty consistent on not being total piece of shit hotels so needless to say i never expected what I walked into. This place had hardwood floors, a light shade of green painted on the walls and all new counter tops, sinks, beds, etc. It was crazy! I forgot to grab a photo of it but Jason got one so I’ll have to post that later on….
All in all, super good times last night, great show, good nights rest and now we are off of to Housten. Time for me to do some homework now!
CHEERS!

If you’ve never heard that song by Lag Wagon on the album “Trashed” you should take a listen… its an amazing song and also one hell of an amazing album!
Well to continue on our journey from yesterday we are now headed out of Arkansas and down to Texas… Last night was interesting to say the least haha. For those of you who follow my twitter updates you already know a little about what was going on cause i was posting as the night went on but for those of you who don’t you can read about it here.
So I will say that when we got to the venue yesterday we all thought ok this place seems pretty cool. Typical small bar/restaurant type place. So we load in and get ready for a sound check, which i might add we almost didn’t get.. i actually had to tell them how we were going to do the setup/soundcheck, so that was interesting. So we do our sound check basically to find out that we can’t hear shit on stage and we’ll just have to go with it… This is fine though, at least we know ahead of time that we can’t hear shit so were not suprised on stage later on. Jeremy starts checking in with people asking about food and drinks and such. They inform us that we’ll get a couple of pizzas from the resturant and we’ll need to see the door guy about wrist bands and drink tickets. We all head over to the door guy and he’s like “how man in the band” i said “4″, he says “how many in the crew” i said “1″, then he says, “ok well we only give the performers hospitality not the crew”. “I’m like ummm ooook”. What the fuck is that shit? I mean who does that? What our crew isn’t good enough to have a beer? So lame! Needless to say we just gave Justin beers when he wanted one so F them anyway…. It honestly felt like this venue didn’t give a shit about any of us at all. Not that were a big deal or anything but instead of a hey guys nice to have you at our club it was more like, ya fuck you guys play your set and get the hell out hahaha!! The night goes on the first 2 bands are “interesting” i’m not sure how to describe them otherwise sorry haha. We hang out have a few beers, watch Left Alone and then VGS takes the stage. Killing it as always I enjoyed there set until all of the sudden they got cut like 7 songs short… we were all saying what the hell? Ok well i guess its time for us to go on now. So we get up there, do a line check (not that it was needed) and start going, so about 6 songs in the promoter comes up on stage, asks Jason for the mic and proceeds to tell everyone in the place that the restaurant us closed and that they’ll have to use the side door when they leave, we all kind of look at each other weird but blow it off and start a new song. Then after that song the sound guy looks at us and says “last song” we’re like really?? ummm ok well i guess instead of a 1 hour plus set we’ll just do 30 minutes… weird. So we go into Super Bitch and no shit they actually turned on the lights like we weren’t even on stage performing anymore hahaha it was nuts! I remember waaaaay back in the day Donnie used to do this to us at the fish pub but it was when we would be playing at 1:00 in the morning and the only people there to see us was him and the door guy hahah! Good times back then!!! So we proceeded to finish Superbitch and go straight into Siempre Loco and call it a night. What a show… what a venue really ahaha. Regardless, of all this the kids were great! Some people even drove hours to come see us so that was super RAD!! I’m sure we’ll be back around at some point but I will say that I really hope we don’t have to play that place again…
On a side I got to hang out with my friend chris and a few of his buddies all night and that was cool. He brought me this fuckin rad cowboy hat that i’m fully rockin now for the rest of the tour! THANKS CHRIS!!
Cheers!

well I just want to start by saying that while driving through Oklahoma City we actually found a radio station that plays all 80′s butt rock! hahaha it was awesome!!! I later confirmed at the show that people are super into 80′s butt rock still and they actually listen to it as often as they did in the 80′s!!! ummmm no offense Oklahoma but ITS 2010! UPDATE YOUR MUSIC LIBRARY HAHAH!
So today i woke up a bit hungover but its ok i got my homework done before the show so i cut loose a little ha! The place we played was super cool actually… it was basically just a little club with a very basic layout (square room). The cool thing about the place was the beer list! They had an amazing selection of beer there and for all of us in the band we got half off all beers! Now most of you are like “sweet like $3 for a Guinness!” BUUUTTT remember we are in Oklahoma so a Guinness was only $3.50 to begin with so that meant we were drinking quality beers for $1.75!!! needless to say at that price it was easy to get a bit drunk and quick haha!! I spent the night drinking my IPA and watched VGS kill it on stage and we all had a great time.
Today we are headed to Little Rock Arkansas THE REAL DIRTY SOUTH! I’m actually meeting a friend i’ve actually known for about 4 years now, but i’m meeting hiim for the first time in person, its pretty crazy! His name is Chris and hes the man behind the album artwork for our new record Stories Of Survival. Hes a very talented artist and I would send you to his website so you could check out more of his work but hes a bit of a slacker and hasn’t finished his website yet hahahhaha (what up dude!). Needless to say today should b e a good time regardless of how the show goes… Stay tuned for an update on today’s shenanigans!
Below is a photo of our merch guy Justin.. I was bored so i thought to play with it a bit in Photoshop and share it with all of you!
ENOY….
JIM

RIGHT!?!?!? that’s messed up – it took me a while to get it…. weak!! (and yes, great photo with a phone – considering wtf it is a picture of!)
hey, btw, are you gonna give us phoenicians a review of what you guys thought of the marquee show? i LOVED it but want to hear perspective from other city comparisons!
A phoenix update is coming soon I’ve just been trying to play catchup from slacking haha!
